What is a lithophane?
A lithophane is a photo turned into a 3D-carved panel. Unlit, it looks like a plain relief. Light it from behind and the photo appears — the thinner parts glow bright, the thicker parts stay dark, and the whole image comes through in soft detail.
It's one of the most personal photo gifts there is, because it only works with your photo: a wedding picture, a lost loved one, a favorite pet, a family portrait.
How ours are made
We carve your photo with our 3D printer and finish it in our La Grange, NC shop, then pair it with an LED light so it glows. Pick the style that fits the photo — and the room:
